Lindsey + Mike | Wedding Photographer | Lake Gaston, NC

This was my first time to have Lindsey and Mike in front of my camera. Their wedding was…held in a stunning location of Lake Gaston…a backyard serenity owned by Lindsey’s parents. Right on the lake where the sun would be setting directly across the lake from us! Such yummy yummy yummy light! Afterwards we headed over to “The Magnolia Manor Bed and Breakfast” where EVERYONE partied it up! I even found myself in the middle of a few dance groups…ooooweeee You don’t wanna see this girl break it down lol.

I was so excited to get to work with Amy on this wedding. She is such a sweet and talented lady and would have me rolling with her funny jokes. I am truly honored to have been able to shoot along side of her and getting to photograph such a beautiful couple and their family and friends. Thank you all so very much!!! You make me feel so blessed

I am having such an amazing time getting to pack up and photograph out of state weddings! This weekend was one of the weddings I have been looking forward to all year…ever since their engagement session in Savannah, GA.

Dear Mindy and Jon,

I cannot thank you two enough for allowing me to be your photographer on such a very special day. Mindy…I am so blessed to have known you and your family for so long and to have kept the friendship up that started 12 years ago. Jon, you are truly Mindy’s soul mate. To see you two interact with one another and see how well you two compliment each other…I know your love will last for years and years to come!

Love you guys! Can’t wait for OCTOBER!

If you only knew how much I adore these two! From the beginning they were the most sweetest and kindest people I had met. We had such an amazing time during their engagement session and then afterwards they would send me emails with updates about their wedding and ALWAYS made sure to tell me how great my newest blog post was. I was always so excited to receive an email from either one!

Their wedding day was simply BEAUTIFUL!!! Everything seemed to fall perfectly in place for them…things were done to make their wedding extra extra extra special! From the make up artist (Joanne Maye) to the gorgeous Rock Springs Center…everyone did such an amazing job and truly made Chris and Rachel’s wedding one of a kind!

The Andersen’s are back and Little Ben is one years old! He has grown into his own little personality where its noting but sweet smiles and laughs that are super contagious! We headed over to Hanging Rock, NC for their family pictures. The hike was long and tiring but SOOOOO worth it! This place was breath taking!!!

Believe it or not…that 0.2 miles is a pain when it’s going up. lol!

Coming Home to Two | Military Homecoming | North Carolina Photographer

EEEEKKKK! I cannot express how much my heart was filled with such joy while photographing a Daddy coming home to his two girls! This is my second homecoming and my love for them keeps growing!! Jamie emailed me a couple months ago explaining her hubby’s arrival. Mark has been deployed two times already but this time he was coming home to something extra special. When Mark left for the third time Jaime was pregnant with their first child, Maggie. Mark was now going to meet his “Daddy’s Girl” (even writing this still gives me chills). Getting to watch something that amazing…a Daddy looking into his baby girl’s eyes for the first time after spending months over seas fighting for our country is truly a breath taking experience. I will NEVER forget this session!

Please take the time to thank your soldiers and the families that sacrifice their lives to keep us safe. I ALWAYS go out of my way to stop someone in uniform to thank them for their service. They are our guardian angels!

Mountain Family | Family Photographer | Little Switzerland NC

A weekend getaway is something I was needing and best of all it was with this AWESOME family. We headed over to the mountains for their family pictures and enjoyed every minute there…not once did I put my camera down. Thad and Sarah are both good friends of mine that I admire so much. They are also wedding photographers (2&3 Photography) that truly inspiring. I have photographed their family for about a year now and every time it gets more and more exciting. They are up for just about anything…and hearing that gets me all giddy and my mind racing with thoughts of what to do…haha.

I am so honored to have been able to photograph this adorable, fun, energetic, outgoing family! I had such an amazing time and hope that this isn’t the last of our little rendezvous’. Thad and Sarah you rock my socks!!!!

Now after a nice time by the fire we decided that we should try out some fun night shots! We headed back over our favorite bridge along with the open field we played in earlier.

Alisa and Rob | Raleigh NC Engagement Photographer

I am seriously getting so spoiled by having so many engagement sessions! I am on cloud nine and jumping with excitement!!!

Alisa and Rob are truly in love…of course. They are planning their wedding for Fall of next year and cannot wait to get everything in motion. For their engagement pictures we headed over to the property of one of Alisa’s friends. The property was a long stretch of BEAUTIFUL land with lots of fields, horses, trees, and dirt roads. In addition to the amazing scenery Alisa and Rob decided to bring their adorable dogs along for some family pictures. I am a huge dog lover so anytime a client wants to bring along their furry friends I am always game and excited to have them join!

Mindy and Jon | Savannah GA | Engagement Photographer

I’ve known Mindy since I was in high school. We met through her brothers, who I attended classes with. After high school we lost touch…both of us starting our own families and figuring out what we going to do with the rest of our lives. We reconnected through Facebook and ended up chatting like we had been hanging out along. I photographed Mindy and her son last year and during our session we talked about the possibility of Jon proposing. About three months later I found out that he did just that…Jon proposed to Mindy. Soon thereafter, I got an email from Mindy wondering how I would feel about shooting a wedding in Georgia.

So here we are today with Mindy and Jon’s engagement session. They are a very fun and outgoing couple who complement each other very well. For our shoot we decided on two locations in Savannah Georgia…River Street and Fort Pulaski. Both locations were extremely beautiful and with my couple standing in front of these gorgeous backgrounds it truly made for some AMAZING picture. I cannot thank Mindy and Jon enough for allowing me to be a part of so many special moments in their lives…it truly means the WORLD to me!

Heading Off Into the Sunset | Wilmington NC Family Photographer

This week is going to be nothing but pure photo heaven!

Let’s start it off with this adorable family, The Anderson Family. I have been photographing them since lil’ Ben was still in Mommy’s belly. He is now 6 MONTHS old and and coming into his own little personality. Ben has smiles that will melt your heart and giggles that make you laugh.

We decided to get the heck out of dodge and have their family pictures in Wilmington, NC. Although it called for rain, we ended up with a BEAUTIFUL sunny day. The only time we got wet was when we were splashed by unexpected waves lol. We did alot of playing and running around to keep Ben in high spirits with all his giggles which in the end made for an amazing time!!!!
